Crina Boros is a journalist with a background in FOI-driven investigative reporting. She has worked for BBC Newsnight and Exaro and has reported on immigration, human rights and business.
Crina started her career as a London correspondent for a Romanian national news agency, for whom she covered the economic crises and immigration issues.
She then trained in investigative and computer-assisted reporting at the Centre for Investigative Journalism, which led her to publish FOIA-based human rights stories with the new Fleet Street media organization, Exaro. This is where she looked at the difference in governmental compensations given to Afghan civilian victims and injured British soldiers; and at public funds offered by the British government to asylum seekers and prisoners who volunteered to return to their home countries.
She has also joined BBC Newsnight to expose how rogue employment agencies abuse the working rights of Romanians and Bulgarians.
At the Foundation, she manages data-driven projects focused on human rights and accountability. She is interested in revolving doors, state accountability, civilian rights violations and cross-border projects.
